Our primary learning community brings increased awareness to the process of learning. As we interact socially, explore material intellectually, and navigate our experience emotionally, we uncover how we process diverse stimuli and how these interactions affect our experiences in learning and shape the building of our understanding. We model critical thinking and divergent inquisition so that learners internalize these practices and view experiences through multiple lenses. Primary opportunities serve as platforms for fostering independent learning, delivering instruction in foundational skill areas, supporting sustainable social navigation, and cultivating emotional intelligence.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
– Victor Frankl
As the complexities of our interactions and our perceptions expand from continued learning experiences, reflection becomes a tool for using our observations to shape our understandings and our intentions in ways that are life-serving and lead to future thriving. Primary learning values effective language and communication skills delivered across diverse mediums. From this foundation grows healthy social interactions, self-confidence, and academic ability.
